  • Triage and prioritize incoming patients
  • Stabilize patients in critical condition
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and fluids
  • Provide wound care and post-surgical support
  • Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities
  • Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures
  • Communicate with pet owners
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitization
  • Educate pet owners on aftercare
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team
  • Stay updated through continuing education
  • Offer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners. -Basic Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma
    • 2+ years -of clinical experience -in the veterinary industry -RVT license highly preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
    • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
    • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license) -
      • Compensation range $18.00 - $35.00 hourly plus differentials and overtime as needed. -The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
      • RVT or -Senior Veterinary Assistant hiring bonus of up to -$5,000 for new full-time employeesOur pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position.
