Title: Finance Analyst I

Duration: Direct Placement

Description: This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of various financial reports for State agencies; creating journal entries for financial statements; assisting in annual audits; research projects as needed; processing bi-weekly payroll; processing claims distributions; reconciling bank statements; assisting Financial Analytics Manager in maintaining and coordinating currently established recovery programs; assisting in the identification and development of new programs; and providing information to the community pertaining to recoveries as needed through education/presentations.

What You Will Do:

• 
  
• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annually Financial Reports and submit to Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) and Department of Health Services (DHCS)
  
• Prepare journal entries for monthly financial statements
  
• Prepare, review and process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll benefits records
  
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts by analyzing data to ensure correct classification of GL accounts
  
• Perform reconciliation of daily and monthly Cash Management
  
• Participate in annual internal financial audit
  
• Perform reconciliation of monthly SBHK bank accounts
  
• Coordinate accounts payable transactions and maintain recoupment records, following established protocols
  
• Prepare electronic spreadsheets as assigned
  
• Annual 1099 preparation and reporting
  
• Annual W2 preparation and reporting
  
• Prepare and report annual Sales & Use Tax state report
  
• Prepare semi-annual escheatment state reports
  
• Analyze and prepare monthly bank transmittal for high volume account reconcilement
  
• Maintain check stock supply
  
• Assist in the research and development of new recovery projects
  
• Working of newly developed recovery programs
  
• Perform adjustments and recoupments to claims as necessary
  
• Examine or identify source/area of recovery and measure the extent of potential loss and estimated recoveries; report result of preliminary findings to Recoveries Manager; take necessary recovery action and/or corrective action as instructed by Recoveries Manager; perform necessary adjustments/recoupments to claims as needed due to findings (ARF's, FLIP's, Reports) and report finding for corrective action to the corresponding parties.
  
• Maintain Payment Integrity analysis and review process in conjunction with PI vendor
  
• Prepare and present education to the community regarding recovery programs
  
• Train and assist team members on new/ongoing recovery program assignments
  
• Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of claims procedures, third party recoveries and coordination of benefit policies
    
  • Experience in reporting, record keeping and bookkeeping
    
    
    What You Will Bring:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Associates Degree in business administration and/or Accounting
      
    • 3-5 years of experience in a financial setting
      
    • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, managed care preferred
