Job Description:

SUMMARY: The Inventory Analyst is a key role of the CMC Operations team responsible for maintaining accurate raw material and finished goods inventory levels for CMC and supplier warehouses. This role will lead the cycle count processes and reconcile actual stock counts with ERP quantities for all internal, external, and outsource warehouse locations. The Inventory Analyst will analyze, investigate and correct inventory discrepancies through consistent root cause analysis (RCA) techniques. An outstanding inventory analyst will be a detail oriented, problem solver with excellent organizational and time management skills. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for both physical bin locations and in Epicor
  • Effectively oversee and/or perform cycle counts in all CMC warehouses, ensuring accurate information is entered into Epicor and all processes are followed
  • Track metrics and create reports to communicate inventory accuracy, variances, and adjustments to management
  • Lead the root cause analysis, investigation, and reporting of all inventory discrepancies
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to define and implement process improvements to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Alert appropriate departments or managers in regard to any inventory related problems or concerns.
  • Implement inventory handling techniques that directly and positively affect inventory accuracy
  • Review Part Records, MOMs or other MRP settings and suggests changes to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Review, investigate, and disposition scrap or discrepant materials through the DMR process
  • Identify and disposition slow moving or dead inventory
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Excellent math and analytical skills are required to perform this job
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-starter, capable of working independently
    • Proficiency in ERP software, Epicor experience preferred
    • Experience using MS Office Tools
    • Advanced Excel capability; Pivot tables, LOOKUP's, SUMIF, Macro's etc.
    • Experience with basic database concepts and queries (SQL, BAQ, etc.)
    • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and inventory
    • Detail oriented with ability to detect and mitigate problems before they affect customers
    • Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferred. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams. QUALIFICATIONS(education and experience):
      • 3+ years of related inventory experience
      • ERP experience (2-4 years), with a strong preference for Epicor
      • HS Diploma required
      • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Accounting is preferred
      • APICS certification is preferred
      • A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit and stand; using the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lens. Requires long periods of time working at a computer and includes phone work.
