JOB DESCRIPTION



Position Description:



The Lead Facilities Technician for an HVAC mechanic is responsible for reliable and consistent operation of building systems for offices, labs, clean rooms, and support areas. Work includes operations within a semi-conductor wafer fab facility, as well as performing other routine maintenance and repair projects as needed for HVAC Mechanical Systems.



Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on HVAC units, motors, and other facilities equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.



The Lead Technician, Facilities as an HVAC Mechanic position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.



Required Skills:



+ HVAC Mechanic with strong trouble shooting skills



+ General knowledge of Pneumatic controls, thermostats and VAV Boxes



+ Service and repair of environmental-control systems associated with mechanical systems.



+ Perform other maintenance-related tasks, such as trouble-shooting and maintaining pump systems, compressed air, vacuum systems, etc.



+ Proficiency in the maintenance of large air handlers



+ Thorough understanding of heating and ventilation systems for cleanrooms, electronics labs, and environmental lab areas.



+ Required to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies and procedures, as applicable, to ensure that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.



+ Possession of a valid California state driver's license.



Desired Skills:



+ Possession of an EPA universal refrigerant license and knowledge of refrigerant management requirements



+ Familiarity with MS Office Business Suite applications.



+ Ability to work from manuals, blueprints, drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, or other specifications.



+ Ability to provide assistance to technicians/colleagues for various tasks as needed.



+ Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing, with co-workers and customers as needed to relay information they need in order to be successful.



+ Experience with building automation and control programs.



Required Education and Experience:



+ Relevant experience in lieu of education will be considered, 2 years post High school education, training is desired, or certification and 6 years of applicable experience gained in Facilities Maintenance or other industrial setting.



Desired Education:



+ Trade School for HVAC



+ Certificates for HVAC



US Citizenship:



+ This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.



Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.



Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
