Job Description:

A local and reputable organization in the Santa Barbara area has an immediate need for a Tier 1 Help Desk Technician. The individual in this role will support all division users at their locations as well division staff who are working remotely. The Tier 1 Help Desk Technician is responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware and software, responding to requests that come in through the ticketing system, as well as diagnosing, researching, and providing resolutions for hardware and software problems. This position entails extensive communication and coordination and will be a crucial part of providing a positive customer support experience for employees. In addition to having the necessary experience for this position, the ideal candidate will need be someone who is comfortable handling multiple deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: ---Respond to help desk tickets and ensure proper monitoring and tracking of problems and resolutions. ---Provide support to end users in a timely manner and provide feedback to users on solutions and expected time frames for resolution of problems. ---Install new computers and components, and upgrade existing division workstations ---Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on division workstations and escalate tickets to Tier 2 and 3 Systems staff as needed. ---Work with vendors, ship hardware and systems for repair, and record shipping and receiving of computers and components as needed. ---Assist with the development and maintenance of deployed applications for computers used by staff. ---Research new technologies and methods to stay current with changing technology and make recommendations as appropriate. ---Partner with members of the Help Desk team on projects and initiatives as needed Qualifications: ---Experience setting up computers systems and troubleshooting hardware issues. ---Previous Help Desk experience. ---Experience with Network devices, servers, and infrastructure. ---Familiarity with Windows 10. ---Familiarity with the Google Suite. ---Excellent customer service and communication skills.
