We are seeking a seasoned residential construction Estimator to assist sales in plan management, scope clarification, and assembling pricing for projects while interacting with clients, architects, and trades. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a team environment. They will be a self-starter, maintain and grow positive relationships with clients and trades, have great focus and attention to detail, and able to prioritize and organize work assignments. They will be passionate about consistently achieving high-level client satisfaction and be able to drive a smooth hand-off of project information to production resulting in profitable projects completed on time.Position Overview:The Estimator is responsible for partnering with sales in providing cost studies, bid proposals, and value engineering solutions for new and existing projects. The Estimator will be independently responsible for managing trade and vendor communication, coordinating trade walks, managing RFI's and keeping the company cost data base up to date. They will with work with the project team to deliver the Allen Construction quality, process and standards that continue to deliver award winning projects and service.JOB DUTIES (include but not limited to): Work with sales to produce a budget using various tools to express potential costs to stakeholders. Assist sales in selecting subcontractors to develop a budget. Assemble trade list for bid invitation and organize trade job walks as appropriate. Review plans and specs in detail. Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED
• 7 years progressive experience working in residential/commercial construction with at least 2 years working as an estimator
• Experience with complex and high-end projects
• Experience writing scope of work and project scheduling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to read, understand and interpret architectural, structural, and civil plan sets
• Possess a technical understanding of residential construction codes, sequencing, and best building practices
• Able to compose, read, understand, and interpret design documents, estimates, spreadsheets and other construction-related documents
• Demonstrate experience and passion for quality building and client satisfaction
• Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Plan Room
• Able to gather information, prepare reports and communicate effectively
• Able to compute basic mathematical calculations
• Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation to get to jobsites DESIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management
  • Prior experience working as a Superintendent or Project Manager in Residential Construction
  • Previous experience leading and training other estimators
  • LEED AP designation and/or green building experience
  • Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
  • Computer literate in Salesforce
