Description: SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Manager, this position will primarily be responsible for keeping production lines running in their desired state.RESPONSIBILITIES: --- Respond to Production Support Alerts, working with line leads and supervisors to understand issues on the line and conduct root cause, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.--- Troubleshooting failures, fixing/recovering failures and finding preventative measures to lower the failure rate.--- Act as an additional assembly resource as needed on the production line.--- Set up new test computers and assist mechanical engineers with modifying fixtures or parts--- Assist electrical engineers with special projects (i.e. soldering and wiring circuit boards), assembling test stations and various other duties as required--- Help create, implement, and maintain procedures and processes--- Perform routine production line maintenance, including assembling, repairing, and replacing fixtures. --- Ensure and monitor production line equipment quality, availability, and calibration.SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:--- Technical capacity including: Computer skills and basic circuit design/function.--- Excellent troubleshooting skills, quickly able to differentiate between hardware, OS, and software root causes of failures. Ability to articulate evidence for each in a clear, concise manner.--- Problem solving/analysis and ability to make decisions that will affect throughput--- Excellent Win10 OS troubleshooting skills, CompTIA A+ or experience equivalent.--- Able to work under a microscope to inspect and/or repair PCB's and wire-bonds--- Must be skilled at soldering--- Ability to adapt well to changes in procedures and production lines--- Must be able to use a computer and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel--- Mechanical aptitude and fine motor skills--- Communicate clearly both written and orally with assemblers and engineers. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: (Education and experience)--- Minimum High School Graduate or GED. Graduate from a technical school desired--- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.PM18
