Coordination support to the NAWCWD Training Centers at Point Mugu, full-time, some travel required.-- Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for setting up classroom workstations for students and instructor prior to scheduled classes. * Maintaining inventory of all IT assets and equipment. * Responsible for requesting procurements of any needed IT equipment that is end of life or needed for classes. * Interface with vendors and instructors before and during classes to ensure needs are met to conduct classes. * Conducts computer training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks. * Determines system utilization requirements by researching and testing systems. * Meet with training specialists to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each training event * Track training event performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals * Determines system utilization requirements by researching and testing systems. * Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations. * Facilitates the presentation of training classes using job specific, Navy-specific, and generic software applications. * Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. * Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. -- Qualifications -- Education and Experience: * High School diploma or GED; Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description. * Comp TIA- Security Plus Certified, required within 90 days * Strong customer services skills and organizational skills required. * Extensive software application management experience. * Technical experience with PCs, tablets, projectors, PA systems, troubleshooting internet connectivity issues, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel required. * Preferred experience with NAWCWD customers and procedures. * U.S. Citizenship * An active U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance at time of hire. Essential Functions-- Physical Requirements * Working at a computer or desk (considerations: sitting, eye strain, hand strain) * May involve long periods of sitting Work Environment * An inside office environment * Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills * Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers Equipment and Machines-- * Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation. * Working at a computer or desk Attendance -- * Normal hours are Monday --- Thursday 7:00am --- 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm * Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines * Regular attendance is necessary and required Other Essential Functions * Must be able to communicate effectively * Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, supervisors and co-workers * Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others * Must be able to support and work in a proactive team environment * Must hold the safety of yourself and those around you as the number one priority in the workplace * Current driver---s license, car registration and auto insurance required * U.S. Citizen and a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
