The scope of this activity includesProduct definition: requirements, functions and features, specification, and design objectivesConfigurational, Preliminary, and Detailed Design activitiesOversight of creation of test plans and proceduresOversight and participation in integration, test, and qualification of new products and product upgradesEvaluate customer requirements and generate internal specifications for BUCs and transceivers.Support business development activities through analysis of customer and market requirements and comparison against company capabilities. Recommend the development of new capabilities in support of market and customer needs.Support integration and test of products.Support sustaining engineering activitiesRequirements:B.S. in Engineering or Physics with at least 15 years' experience in RF/microwave communications systems, component design, test and verification, or M.S. and at least 6 years' experience.Knowledge of non-RF aspects of system design, e.g., thermal management, power supplies, monitor and control, at a level sufficient to make sound system-level design decisions.Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team including non-RF technical personnelFamiliarity with qualification standards such as DO-160, DO-178, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-188-164, and experience with qualifying products to such standardsFamiliarity with reliability analysis and methodologies such as MIL-HDBK-217 and RIAC217PlusFamiliarity with DO-254 process and methodsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.Must be able to lift up to 10 poundsMust be able to sit for an extended period of timePay Rate:$145,000 +We offer a fantastic benefits package which includes:Medical, Dental, Vision401(K) with company contribution11 Paid HolidaysPaid VacationGym MembershipOngoing growth & development opportunities + access to continuing education through CourseraFinancial planning assistance through EmpowerLegal & Wellness Assistance through LifeCareThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
