supervision of the VP of Operations, The Planner/Scheduler will
develop and coordinate build schedules to ensure that production
and NPI deadlines and customer delivery schedules are achieved.
This role will play an integral part of the Planning and Supply
Chain team and will support a range of planning and scheduling
activities. The planner will work closely with Manufacturing
Director to ensure the work order execution meets the needs of the
overall plan, while maximizing the efficiency of the production
resources. This position works in a manufacturing environment and
provides support to Production, Materials, Engineering, Project
Management, Sales, and Quality.RESPONSIBILITIES: -- Hands on
position that will work with Production team to ensure we deliver
parts to customers on time. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible
for all aspects of planning, scheduling, and addresses obstacles
that arise that could impact on time delivery. -- Monitor and
prioritize builds based on customer need date and capacity--
Schedule internal processes (wafer processing, routing, wire
bonding) to support builds.-- Monitor WIP levels to identify
potential on time delivery issues-- Manage daily transactions in
MRP system to ensure system integrity and alignment. --
Communicates specific supply chain shortages and their urgency to
Purchasing and Mfg. -- Coordinate and expedite the flow of parts,
sub-assemblies, and material to work areas to ensure production
schedule and customer commitments are met.-- Analyze inventory
variances and suggest/follow up on corrective actions to ensure
avoidance of stock-outs or excess materials.-- Identify and execute
continuous improvement activities.-- Ensure BOM accuracy for all
assigned products.-- Identify capacity limitations and
communicating to management to ensure plans can be achieved.-- Work
closely with Planning, Procurement, and Operations to achieve lead
time reduction and on time delivery.-- Manage consumable inventory
with continual review of re-order points.-- Manage the flow of
inventory between Seek and outside vendors processing hardware.--
Work with Manufacturing Director to establish and manage an
effective cycle counting program.-- Effectively manage defective
material to schedule 2nd runs or follow up on dispositions. --
Support shipping and receiving concerns to ensure inventory is
properly transacted. -- Update appropriate reporting tools used in
manufacturing.SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Solid fundamental
understanding of the principles and concepts of MRP, manufacturing
work flow, capacity planning, and supply chain.Be able to interface
tactfully and proactively with all departments in the company, with
an emphasis on Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and
EngineeringAbility to communicate clearly and compellingly about
analyses, insights, and recommendations.Have a complete
understanding of assigned products, with emphasis on scheduling
constraints.Ability to make decisions and evaluations of any
constraints in the production plan.Knowledgeable of the many
production requirements relating to processes, machines and
peopleAbility to coordinate several projects
simultaneously.Understanding of ERP systems, (Netsuite a plus) and
multi-layer BOMs. Proficient with MS Excel Must be detail-oriented
-- quality and precision-focusedAbility to target presentations,
written or oral, to different audiencesRequirements:-- Minimum of
three (3) years experience in electro-mechanical assembly
production environment-- Bachelor's degree preferred but not
