This position is for a Lead System Engineer who will support Department 22 by providing technical leadership to multi-disciplinary program teams as part of the Advanced Electronic Warfare product line. With over 150 active programs within Department 22, there are multiple opportunities, not only for career growth, but also to develop innovative system prototypes that support the business unit. Responsibilities:Derive system requirements from customer-furnished information such as reference scenariosDevelop technical performance metrics for system architectures that support engagement of emerging complex threatsCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary program team to develop and design prototype systemsParticipate in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to complex technical tasks including system design decisions involving trade studies, requirements allocation, and verification methodsGenerate test plans/procedures for assessing EW system performanceArchitect test configurations for exercising the Unit Under Test in both lab and field environmentsCollaborate with other disciplines to develop Special Test Equipment for Subsystems/Systems Integration and Test Plan System Development, Design, and Test Activities Execute in-house and off-site system demonstration activities for demonstrations and/or subsystem sell-offBrief senior program and engineering leadership Required Skills: Minimum 10 years of system engineering experience on EW or Radar programs Minimum 8 years of system development for defense applicationsExperience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and customersExperience leading cross product teams to resolve challenging technical problems in a multiple stakeholder environment Experience with EW/Radar systems integration, verification, and validationExperience planning, managing, and leading execution of systems integration, verification, and validation activities in both lab and field environmentsExperience preparing system/subsystem test documentation (e.g., plans, procedures, and reports)Experience with Millimeter/Microwave system and subsystem-level performance analysisExperience with Mixed Signal subsystem-level performance analysisMust be a U.S. Citizen with Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret ClearanceU.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems Desired Skills: Experience with new business development for prototype system programsExperience with proposal execution from competitive analysis to capture strategy to proposal delivery.8+ years of experience in millimeter and microwave RF Design8+ years of experience in Digital Signal ProcessingExperience writing requirements for EW/Radar system test equipment and Special Test EquipmentExperience with Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management Experience with requirements tracking tools such as DOORSActive DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years Required Education (including major):Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
