Job Description:
Local start-up company in Downtown Santa Barbara seeking Support
Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate has strong
customer service experience, enjoys helping customers, is a problem
solver and tech savvy. Great learning and room for advancement for
someone interest in technology.
Location: Santa Barbara
Hours: Full Time
Pay: $18-20
Support Representative Responsibilities:
? Technical support: provide basic Tier 1 level technical support
to customers via phone email and instant messaging, focusing
on:
? Product navigation and understanding
? Isolated hardware issues, installation support
? Decipher complex tracking data for patterns and trends to address
issues
? Device provisioning: assembling, programming and configuring
hardware
? Order processing: account creation, shipment creation, packaging,
billing
? Scheduling: Coordinate installations and services of customer
telematics devices using recommended installers.
? Inventory and stock management: daily and monthly reconciliation,
office/shipping supplies, RMAs, etc.
? Customer onboarding: ad hoc training for customers using
services.
Skills and Knowledge:
? BA/BS degree preferred, but not required this is an entry level,
tier 1 support position.
? 1-2+ years in a customer facing role
? Adept user of all basic computer functions; experience with
Google Sheets/Microsoft Office
? Ability to learn new technologies and assist / share knowledge
with non-technical users
? Excellent written and spoken English
? Spanish speaking candidates capable of explaining technical
subject matters to customers are highly desired
? High attention to detail, ability to critically analyze and
eagerness to problem solve
? A willingness and independent desire to take on new
responsibilities and projects as they present themselves or are
made available
? Must be capable of climbing one full set of stairs to reach our
office, located on the second floor
