Description

Toyon is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to develop, implement, and analyze algorithms used in Toyon's Autonomous Systems Team for the Asset Control, Data Fusion, and Analytical Services. The researcher would start supporting one or two areas with opportunity to participate across all areas with time.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Autonomous Systems Team vision through algorithm development and analysis
• Assist senior engineers and leaders with projects of significant scope that require cross-functional participation
• Participate in live, virtual, and constructive experimentation events
• Communicate and present technical results to customers in both report and presentation formats
• Grow professionally to become a subject matter expert in the field of autonomous systems Requirements
  
  Bachelor's or advanced degree in an Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science program
  • Working level skills in the development and/or implementation of advanced algorithms for estimation and control systems.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively on projects toward common team goals
  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Programming familiarity in C++, MATLAB, or Python U.S. Citizenship is Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required.

    The annual pay range for this position is $100,000 to $170,000.
    
    The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate's education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
