position requires a U.S. person.Raytheon Intelligence and Space
business unit is seeking a highly motivated, experienced software
engineer to work on Department 22 defense applications. The job is
in the advanced systems development and offers an excellent career

engineers. Typical job functions for the Principal Software
Engineer:Participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined
integrated product teams, often employing agile software
development techniques and tools to plan, design, develop, test,
and integrate complex software and systems
solutions.Responsibilities include inventions and innovations of
new products and technologies, from architecture and design,
through integration, lab test and field test.You will work with
professionals around the country from diverse technical expertise

with other programs and senior technical contributors, in addition
to producing planning and technical work products for internal and

candidate is responsible for developing software and FPGA level
requirements derived from system level requirements, developing
associated architectures, implementing design, performing
simulations and analysis and testing of the software, module,
and/or unit in a laboratory setting.He/she will be familiar with
latest technology trend in the area of microprocessor, memory, FPGA
and interface protocols.The candidate will work in an advanced
product development team environment with system and software
engineers.This position may require occasional business related
travel.Required Skills: Typically 8 years of experience in software
design, integration and test utilizing C, C++ and/or C# or similar
languages.Some experience with embedded microprocessor design,
system on a chip software design, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers,
DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analyses and signal
generation.Some experience with the application embedded Linux,
Windows or bare metal operation systems real-time applicationsSome
experience with software algorithm developmentLab experience in
testing of products using logic analyzers, high-speed
oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system on a chip debugging
toolsExperience with interfaces and bus standards such as: VME,
PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gb EthernetKnowledge or experience designing
with Xilinx or Intel FPGAs or similar productsPossess skills to
handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment
including engagement with systems and electrical
engineersExperience working closely and directly with the
customerExperience with detailed program planning, scheduling and
implementation.Digital/Analog signal processing design skills
working with ADC's and DAC'sU.S. Citizenship status is required as
this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of
start date. Desired Skills: Strong team player with good
interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal
communication skillsExperience in the phases of the software
lifecycle, including software architecture, system/software
requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification
testing, system integration, and post-delivery
maintenance.Experienced in Agile development processesSystems
engineering and systems architecture experienceExperience with
machine learningRequired Education: Typically Bachelors of Science
degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer
