reality. The Engineering Advisor will lead all aspects of
preliminary site design and site specification efforts for grid
scale solar projects in USA and Canada. The position is located in
Houston, TX, Chicago, IL and Santa Barbara, CA and it is eligible
to work in many locations across the U.S. and reports to the
Engineering Director. What you'll do: * Lead efforts for
preliminary design and optimization of grid scale solar projects
under development in USA and Canada
* Coordinate with team members, development staff, and project
delivery team to identify project design constraints and
requirements
* Work directly with procurement team regarding site needs and
constraints and coordinate those efforts for optimal site design of
grid scale solar projects in USA and Canada
* Serve as technical point of contact for solar project development
and delivery teams.
* Coordinate and review site production and optimization efforts
utilizing PVsyst evaluation software
* Effectively manage a team of employees and external resources on
site specification, optimization, and preliminary design
* Keep current on changing trends in the solar generation
market
* Capable of scoping, contracting, and managing consultants and
contractors for design and technical services as necessary
* Provide and advise on conceptual design configuration for
development pipeline projects
* Gain, capture, and grow subject matter expertise in grid-scale
solar generation using the Company's tools and processes in order
to increase the experience and the know-how of the Grid Scale
Renewables team
* Provide subject matter leadership in grid-scale solar generation
tasks when subject matter expertise is utilized from contractors,
plant personnel, or wider Company's resources in order to provide
streamlined technical service
* Share subject matter expertise within the Company's organization,
and most especially within the Grid Scale Renewables Team, using
effective use of communication and content management system in
order to distribute the gained value from each experience and
help-build institutional memory in ENGIE North America
* Liaise with the members of the Engineering teams and utilize the
local and global in-house experience and knowledge
* Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE NA and Grid
Scale Renewables staff
* Carry out other duties as assigned. What you bring: * Bachelor's
degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical
Engineering is preferred
* Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience; 5 years' experience in
solar energy sector
* Must have experience with grid-scale solar project engineering
design and optimization, preferably with a leading utility scale
solar project developer or top EPC provider
* Experience or close coordination with CAD or GIS software
platforms for solar site layouts
* Experience with PVsyst or other solar production models for
estimating and optimizing solar facilities
* Knowledge and experience in utility grid characteristics and
requirements for the purposes of meeting grid requirements for new
solar installations
* Knowledge and experience in development and construction of power
generation and storage assets in the United States
* Must be able to interpret solar production studies and use that
information to advise on business development projects and
activities
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when
interacting with outside stakeholders such as government agencies
and local communities is an essential part of the role
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
Additional Information/Conditions: * Must be eligible to work for
any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the

* Must be available to travel up to 25% of the time and with the
need for some overnight trips
* Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving
record
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited
occasions
* Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
* Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

is: $92,395-236,600. The listed salary range represents ENGIE's
good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum
and maximum for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations. An
employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their work
location, and additional factors, including qualifications,
relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In
addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay
equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as
a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range
stated above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at
the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for
future and continued salary growth. This position is eligible for
our comprehensive and competitive benefits package and certain
positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as
