About the JobDudek is seeking an archaeologist with 7+ years of
experience in cultural resources management and a completed
graduate degree with focus in archaeology. The archaeologist should
have experience with survey, excavation, and preparation of
technical reports and environmental document sections. Should have
regional experience in regulations and current archaeological
theory. -Duties and Responsibilities
Will work under the direct
supervision of Senior cultural staff, as well as in coordination
with other cultural resources staff throughout DudekWould work from
home and office in the Orange County or surrounding regionPrimary
fieldwork and reporting focus will be in the Orange County region,
although incidental fieldwork and reporting for projects in other
areas of California, Nevada, and other areas in the western United
States may be required.Anticipated to be primarily office work,
multiple project coordination, and incidental fieldwork. Expected
to work for 40/hours each weekShould be able to complete relatively
standard archaeological reports and fieldwork, start to finish,
with limited oversight and review.Should have a strong working
understanding cultural resources management work and writing within
CEQA and NHPAShould work well with others, anticipate coordination
of junior cultural staff, be capable of coordinating directly with
PMs, and be receptive to Senior cultural staff QA/QC and oversight
as a standard practiceMinimum Qualifications
BA, MA in progress or similar degree
in Anthropology/Archaeology7 years in CRM completing fieldwork,
reporting, and managing field staff. Preferred Qualifications
MA in Archaeology/Anthropology7 years
minimum in CRMNo specific certifications requiredProactive, strong
writing, communication, leadership, organization, and
problem-solving skills.General understanding of Word, Adobe
Acrobat, Excel, and common GPS and desktop mapping platforms.
-Proposed Salary Range: $62,400 - $93,600 annually**Final agreed
upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including
but not limited to an individual's related experience, education,
