questions.OverviewBruker is looking for a development scientist
specialized in MEMS design and fabrication of sensing probes used
in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). This position drives the
development of new AFM probes and works closely with internal and
external groups to set the development roadmap. This position
requires strong initiative, effective cross-functional teamwork, a
hands-on approach, and deep technical expertise. Preferred
candidates will be self-starters with the ability to set goals and
achieve them with minimal supervision and have a high level for
attention to detail. This position is based in Camarillo,
CA.ResponsibilitiesThe Development Scientist will typically be
responsible for:Extract and generate engineering requirements for
the AFM probesDesign of MEMS AFM probes and their fabrication
processModeling of AFM probes and processes, using FEA and/or etch
simulation toolsHands-on fabrication of prototypesSupport smooth
production scale upWork closely with internal and external
collaborators Review patent landscape and write patent
disclosures/applicationsQualificationsRequired qualifications
include:Proven track record in MEMS design and fabrication,
including full process design, fabrication, and production
scale-upExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHard
working, team oriented, curious, creative, and committed to
qualityTypically requires a minimum of 5 years of related
experience with a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry,
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on MEMS; or 3
years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or
equivalent work experienceAbove all, we are looking for the right
individual to work in a positive, flexible, and fast-paced
technical work environmentWork Environment Typical office and
laboratory work environment Occasional work may be required in
Class 1000 clean room with full gowning protocol Physical &
Environmental RequirementsNormal visual acuity and hearingThe
