Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Operator is an entry level position that monitors
the production process system to ensure proper operation. They
inspect, check, and document process production activities. This
includes performing container prepartion, bulk and non-bulk
filling, shipping and receiving activities, and other production
and facility capacities as assigned. They ensure safety and quality
of workmanship efficiency and timeliness when performing the
assigned work.
Job Description:
* Monitors the production process system to ensure proper
operation.
* Inspects, checks and documents process production activities.
* Ensures safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness
when performing the assigned work.
* Uses and maintains equipment in good working order and reports
any abnormalities in a timely fashion.
* Maintains working areas organized and clean to ensure work
efficiency and safety.
* Follows materials handling practices appropriate with safety
standards, while maintaining minimum wastage.
* Reports security and/or health and safety infractions or
potential infractions in a timely manner and to the appropriate
contacts.
* Participate in inventory cycle count programs and accurate record
results.
* May participate in shipping and receiving activities as
necessary.
* May be responsible for snow shoveling/removal.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
preferred
* Prior experience as a chemical operator/technician preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Attention to detail
* Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
* Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and
procedures
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency
in Word and Excel preferred
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Problem-solving skills
Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
The work environment characteristics and physical effort described
here are representative of those an associate encounters while
performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable

Typically works in a production environment with adequate lighting
and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise
level.
The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the
working day. The physical requirements of the job are for
associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height,
reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull.
Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull
up to 25 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both
hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as
well as both feet for repetitive movement. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
