Rosewood Miramar Beach is looking for a Sommelier to join The
Revere Room and Caruso's Fine Dining Team !
Assist in selection, purchase, store, sell, and serve wines. Ensure
that guests are able to find a wine that fits their tastes and
complements their food. Work with the kitchen to find suitable
wines to pair with dishes on the menu. Work out on the floor of the
restaurant, helping customers to decide the exact wine that best
meets their needs. Increase revenues and average checks by
recommending an appropriately aligned wine selection to guests
whilst dining at The Revere Room and Caruso's Fine Dining or the
designated restaurant/ event space per the scheduled shift.
Sommelier Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for the recommendation and sales of wines and other
beverages to guests. Offer and promote the digestives.
Minimum 80% operational role to oversee and support the beverage
sales of the designated outlet allocated.
Whilst the home department is to be The Revere Room or Caruso's
Fine Dining - this role will be allocated to where there is a
specific need for beverage support and wine sales.
Assist in carrying out wine education training with the F&B
Train front of house about wine/wine matching. Make sure all
service associates know which wines to recommend to each dish on
Carry out monthly stock control, inventory. Update continuously all
Maintain and update wine and all other beverage lists. Ensure wines
off critical age get sold. Establish sommelier recommendation.
Check pricing is up to date.
Coordinate the work of associates and maintain the established
procedures and policies.
Promote a good working atmosphere with an emphasis on enhancing
relations with subordinates.
Greet guests, handle comments and problems whenever required, and
promote sales to meet forecasted revenues.
Converse with guests to maintain a good relationship as well as an
extending personal touch.
Make requisition for supplies in order to maintain stock level.
Carry out any other duties as and when required by the Director of
Food and Beverage.

guest's service needs; work with minimal supervision; maintain the
confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities; ability to
provide clear directions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required to speak, read and write English, and do basic

Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting up to 30
pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work
areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout
work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and
co-workers to their understanding.
