Job Description:

The Paskin Group, a real estate investment and management company, is seeking a part time Office Assistant for our corporate office in Santa Barbara, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to jump into a unique and rewarding corporate culture with a company that has experienced significant recent growth.

At The Paskin Group, the Office Assistant is a customer-service-oriented, problem solver who is always looking for ways to contribute and add value to our office environment. They are organized, energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to learn. They love new challenges and are adept at both following specific instructions as well as seeking out new and improved ways of accomplishing tasks when asked to think out of the box.

The Office Assistant can add value to The Paskin Group in numerous ways. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working closely with and providing administrative support to the Santa Barbara corporate team
  • Running both personal and/or business errands for the CEO or company as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness (dusting, organizing, etc...) in CEO's office and general office areas
  • Answering, screening, and directing incoming calls
  • Receiving and directing visitors
  • Composing/editing professional business emails, documents, forms, and letters
  • Helping manage Company's various calendars of activities
  • Maintaining social media accounts and blog and creating content
  • Reviewing Company's various websites for quality control and communicating updates to the Web Developer
  • Working with the Company Operations Specialist and graphic designer to create branded items including swag and collateral
  • Maintaining detailed records of investor correspondence and gifts, employee gifts, and any additional branded item distribution
  • Performing research and misc. projects as requested by Executive team
  • Sorting, opening, and distribution of Company mail
  • Helping organize and execute Company events
  • Providing misc. support to Accounting Department
  • Booking of travel arrangements for Company employees and events
  • Ensuring office maintains a good stock of essential supplies including weekly grocery store trips
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
  • Performing other duties as assigned

A successful Office Assistant will bring to the table a wide range of skills which include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrating organizational and detail-oriented abilities
  • Demonstrating exceptional grammar and communication skills
  • Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Always appear professional and be service-oriented
  • Demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Search, Instagram, Facebook, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible

The hours for this position are anticipated to be 8am-1pm, 25 hours per week.
