The Junior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accounts payable and payroll functions for the Finance and Accounting department at the Santa Barbara BaseCamp office. Additional duties include typing, organizing, coordinating, and working on ad-hoc projects. Some independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. • Enter all purchase orders and project commitments for projects in development.
• Enter all project and capital invoices and payment applications.
• Maintain meeting notes for the Finance and Design & Construction interdepartmental team meeting.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly credit card reconciliations.
• Generate and process intercompany invoices for fees in accordance with management agreements.
• Code and enter invoices into accounting system.
• Manage vendor set up and updates.
• Record bank deposits.
• Assist with expense management, including processing within Divvy.
• Process weekly Accounts Payable check run.
• Process weekly expense reimbursement check run.
• Review and resolve vendor statements.
• Record corporate deposits.
• Answer internal and external questions regarding billing issues.
• Research and follow up on credit card chargebacks.
• Assist with month and year end close processes.
• Special projects as assigned. Required Education and Experience:
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate
  • Prior experience with an accounting ERP such as Intacct, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. The Right Person Will Have...

    • Ability and comfort in working with cloud based applications; knowledge of Google Suite products preferred.
