Job Description:

Umbra Lab, Inc. ("Umbra") is a technology company that builds next-generation space systems. Umbra is launching an unrivaled constellation of space-based radar satellites with SAR capabilities, to produce earth imagery of sub-meter resolution for low-cost distribution. We are a bold, experienced team of developers, engineers, product specialists, and other professionals working to aggressively expand the state-of-the-art for commercial remote sensing.

We are looking for a a talented, mission-driven professional to work closely with our Information Technology team, our Operations Department and all company departments and functions to set up, align, integrate and continuously improve company-wide productivity of our enterprise software and systems. The individual filling this position will resolve issues, trouble-shoot and continually refine how we select, implement and integrate software tools across the company for maximum business productivity, security, and value for money.

Key Responsibilities
With support from Umbra's IT Director, maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, SaaS applications, servers, desktops, software and hardware
Own projects, solutions and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems
Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that's always up and running
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and error, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Monitor datacenter and application heath using preexisting management tools and respond to issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new applications and services as the need arises
Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
Review and make improvements as necessary to existing software configuration and integrations
Participate in continuous evaluation and improvement of software tools to best satisfy business and security requirements
Support cloud-based ERP project implementation team with initial rollout and subsequent functionality enhancement
Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline such as computer science or equivalent professional experience in a high-tech company/industry
3+ years of experience managing cloud-based software applications for a high-tech company and/or company with 50-250 employees.
Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory, virtualization, content delivery, and networking
Strong familiarity and experience with identity management, single sign on (SSO) and MFA
Overall strong focus on security and compliance
Customer-centric mindset and ability to conceptualize and implement end-to-end solutions that scale
Advanced proficiency with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira)
Advanced proficiency with Windows and iOS operating systems
Experience administering G-Suite and Microsoft Products
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment

Desired Qualifications
Experience with implementation and ongoing ERP system administration (such as NetSuite or other similar)
Strong familiarity and experience with Okta (SSO)
Experience with content management systems (such as Box or other similar)
Track record creating or customizing documentation and training collateral for end users of cloud-based software
