Job DescriptionDuties: JOB PURPOSE: Perform all functions
related to processing payroll for the CHS hospital system.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 1. Perform bi-weekly payroll cycle
processing, including off-cycle on-demand checks. 2. Input income
and deduction data for direct deposits, tax sheltered annuities,
loans, etc 3. Process paperwork for wage garnishments, including
mailings. 4. Prepare the reconciliation spreadsheet for all
hospital payrolls. 5. Prepare check requests for payable ledger for
deduction liabilities, including garnishments and TSAs. 6. Research
pay information, as required by government entities or CHS. 7.
Maintain the filing of all payroll records. 8. Respond to employee
inquiries regarding payroll. Education: Minimum: Associate's degree
or Accounting-related coursework Languages: English( Speak, Read,
Write ) Skills: TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Experience with
computerized payroll systems PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
Ability to solve payroll-related issues. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Ability to interact with peers and management. Excellent customer
service skills. COMMUNICATION SKILLS The employee communicates
effectively. Good command of written and oral communication skills.
OTHER Understanding of payroll deductions (voluntary and Government
mandated) and their effect on an employee's payroll. Strong
