This is an opportunity to be part of something great - the exciting growth of a small employee owned manufacturing firm We are looking for a long term, full time Customer Service Associate eager to join our team. You will oversee all aspects of customer satisfaction to foster positive relationships with our stakeholders. A well qualified candidate will self manage their time to provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company capabilities as well as communicating effectively with team members. We are looking for someone professional and results oriented, driven to succeed through continual improvement. Summary The Customer Service Associate will report to the Sales Manager. You will be the primary contact with our customers and therefore must provide unparalleled service to differentiate our team from the competition. You will manage customer communication channels to ensure dialogue regarding product information, contracts, customer requirements, change orders, order status, customer feedback, on-time delivery, and order fulfillment rates. Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests. Enter orders into the MRP system, monitor customer Min/Max, Kanban, Portal and EDI programs. Process customer orders, acknowledgments, changes, returns and credits. Review of open order status, and reporting to management. Manage and investigate customer complaints, and provide appropriate solutions and follow up. Process customer sample requests. Manage customer service accounts and files. Assist with different projects within the customer service department. Present management with updates about customer's issues. General administration: answer phones, check and filter company's emails, order and maintain office supplies, and other clerical tasks as needed. Knowledge Proven customer service experience: knowledge of principles and processes for customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Microsoft Office Skills and Abilities Professional, self motivated team player, who leads by example. Professional phone and email etiquette Strong active listening, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills. Critical thinking Service oriented person, establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships. High level of English grammar and composition Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast- paced environment. Education Requirements College degree preferred. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Prior customer service experience is required.
