Job Description Job Description JOB PURPOSE: Protect the Pollys
Brand by upholding the standards of Fresh, Friendly, Above and
Beyond Expectations. The dish and general utility position is
responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
for pots, pans, dishes, cooking equipment, etc., using machine and
manual cleaning methods. Ensure the dishwashing area is maintained
as a clean, safe and sanitary facility. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sort
and rinse dirty dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment and
place them in racks to send through dish machine. Maintain clean
dishwater at all times. Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand. Remove
trash and garbage to dumpster. Set up or break down dishwashing
area. Clean and roll/unroll mats. Fill/empty soak tubs with
cleaning/sanitizing solutions. Sweep/mop floors and clean drains.
Assemble/disassemble dish machine. Sweep up trash around exterior
of restaurant and garbage dumpster. Follow all safety procedures
including proper lifting, knife handling, personal protective
equipment, etc. Conduct general store and restroom cleaning as
directed. Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without
washing hands first. Keep the dish machine clean and report any
functional or mechanical problems immediately. Notify the Manager
on duty any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below
safety standard temperatures. Measure and assemble ingredients and
prepare recipes and menu specifications in accordance to Pollys
Pies recipes. Complete other various tasks including salad bar
prep. Required to work varied hours; may be needed to work daily
dinner rush, weekends and/or holidays. Fill in for different
positions according to business needs when necessary. SKILLS AND
