practices.Under the direction of theJFS Vice President of Sales
theBusiness Development/Culinary Specialist is responsible for
providing consistent and strategic in-field sales support to
Jordanos Foodservice team members and customers. In addition, this
person will participate in strategic sales initiatives, sales
meetings, and other program-enhanced activities. This position will
attract new customers to JFS and assist in developing this new
business. Finally, this position will assist in product
demonstrations/cuttings, training, tastings with Account Executives
and customers.What Will You Be Doing?
- Work closely with sales reps to identify new prospects and
leads
- Meet Sales goals put forth with VP of Sales
- Participate in General Sales Meeting and Regional Sales Meeting
training, assist individual Account Executives with any product
knowledge or training needs and help customers with same.
- Work with Purchasing Department on procuring samples for
cuttings, tastings, and training.
- Work with purchasing and management to support
vendors/categories the company wants to support.
- Work with broker and supplier community to facilitate ideas,
options and needs for products to be seen and sampled by customers
and reps.
- Organize and manage all customer calls, leads generated and
cases sold.
- Create and deliver presentations on products for Account
Executives to gain knowledge and grow pieces.
- Cold call on new customers, coordinated with Regional Sales
Manager in the region(s) plus VP of Sales to determine which
Account Executive will ultimately handle the new account.
- This position requires the individual to travel to Company
regions (4) from the company headquarters and keep track of monthly
mileage and expenses incurred.

Attributes Will You Need to Be Successful?
- Demonstrated experience with building trust with prospective
customers and securing new business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to
effectively communicate across departments and customers.
- Business and restaurant operations acumen to manage
sophisticated customers.
- Proactive self-starter, with the ability to structure their own
schedule and meet deadlines.
- Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability
to analyze and interpret various types of reports in English.
- Must be goal driven, have good organizational and
administration skills in order to self-manage and develop
discipline and be flexible and coachable.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and
drive customer satisfaction through superior service and
execution.
- Successful candidates will drive volume, revenue and paint the
town Jordano's Red!Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university,
AOS or similar in culinary field or one to two years' related
experience in sales or chef experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MUST posses a valid driver's license and driving record that
meets Company established guidelines
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
