Job Description First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Float for a travel nursing job in San Luis Obispo, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Float - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Multi-Unit (ICU, Step-Down, Med Surg, PACU, ER, Day Stay) Department: ICU / Step-Down / Med Surg / PACU / ER / Day Stay Shift: Night | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week (traveler choice if extended offer) Job Description: Responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of nursing care to patients across multiple units including ICU, Step-Down, Med Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER. Maintains competencies required for each assigned unit and supervises/delegates care responsibilities to ancillary staff within their scope of practice. Education & Experience: - Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent – Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred - Minimum 1 year experience within the last 5 years in any of the following: - ICU or Step-Down/Progressive Care - High-Risk Labor and Delivery - ER - Completion of a Critical Care Course (or equivalent experience) – Preferred Licenses & Certifications: - Current RN license in state of practice – Required - BLS – Required - ACLS – Required - PALS – Required within 60 days of hire or transfer - TNCC – Required (or enrolled in upcoming TNCC class) - Facility-specific ACLS – Required within 6 months of hire or transfer About First Connect Health At First Connect Health, we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
