Pay: $84 per hour Shift Information: Days Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Registered Nurse - OR – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse - OR Location: Long Beach, CA Start Date: 03-09-2026 End Date: 06-08-2026 Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts); occasional 12-hour shifts; rotating call: 3 weekday evening/night call shifts and 3 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (call response time: 30 minutes); every-other-weekend rotation Hours per Week: 40 Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour About United Health Care Staffing At United Health Care Staffing (UHC Staffing), we believe healthcare staffing should be more than just finding a job. Roles & Responsibilities Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across ortho, neuro and general cases Coordinate and manage 1:1 patient care in the operating room to ensure safety and optimal outcomes Accurately document care and case details using Cerner and Surginet Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR techs to run efficient case flow Respond to call assignments within a 30-minute window and manage emergent needs calmly Follow and use preference cards to standardize case setup and instrumentation Participate in trauma and CVOR team responses when required Support charge RN with assignments and handoffs to maintain team continuity Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (perioperative or acute care experience preferred) Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required Comfortable working with OR technology and teams including CSTs Experience charting in Cerner and familiarity with Surginet is a strong plus Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes and work rotating weekend coverage Willingness to complete unit-specific orientation (about 1 week or until comfortable) Education Active RN license; BSN preferred but not required Knowledge & Skills Solid knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and OR procedures Skilled in patient monitoring and maintaining 1:1 patient ratios in the OR Familiarity with ventilator management and working alongside RT teams Proficient documentation skills in electronic medical records (Cerner) Ability to use preference cards and support efficient case turnover Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesia, pharmacy and sterile processing Benefits A supportive team that values YOU and your perioperative expertise Comprehensive medical, dental & vision plans to keep you healthy Paid time off so you can recharge between cases Licensure assistance and certification reimbursement to help you grow Professional development and trauma/OR specialty training opportunities Flexible scheduling options and reliable 40-hour guaranteed weeks Well-equipped OR environment with dedicated CVOR and trauma teams A culture that recognizes great work and encourages work-life balance Travel Perks: Explore Long Beach, CA Long Beach is a great mix of beach life and city amenities.
