TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified ER/Trauma RN in Santa Maria, California, 93454! Pay
Information $2,707 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per
week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, COVID Vaccine Required, NIHSS, PALS
Must-Have: - 2 years of experience or more - Travel experience is
preferred Description: Unit is an Emergency Room setting. Four-bed
fast track available. Total of 32 beds and 6 treatment chairs.
Patients per day range from 208 to 317 depending on busyness.
Certifications preferred include TNCC. Patient-to-nurse ratio is
typically 1 to 4. ICU status may require 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 ratios.
Electronic Medical Record system is Cerner. Charge nurse position
available. An assistant nurse manager is present 24/7. Nurse
aides/paramedics are available as ER techs. Certified Nursing
Assistants (CNAs) may act as patient sitters if necessary. Security
services are available in the lobby. Weekend shifts are required
every other week. Holidays will be worked into the permanent staff
rotation. Scrub color is navy. Tele/monitor technicians utilize
Phillips technology. Nurses must read and interpret cardiac strips.
Lab draws are not performed by nurses. There is no IV team present.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are
available 24/7. Shifts include 12-hour shifts at various times.
Nurses may have to float to other facilities. Floor-specific
orientation consists of 3 shifts. Common diagnoses include trauma,
with 30% of the population being pediatrics. Additional diagnoses
include strokes and STEMIs. Candidates must have emergency
experience. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shift
