Tasks & Responsibilities

• Essential Duties
• Review client's chart prior to administering of the medication
• Use proper sterile technique for injections
• Reviewing most recent urine drug test for those receiving Medication Assisted Treatment
• Obtain vital signs
• Monitor client briefly after the injection
• Document the procedure in the client's electronic medical record
• Coordination of care with medication prescribers and other team members
• Interpersonal Relations

        • Participates in educational training, orientations, or compliance programs as needed to maintain competency.

          • Must have strong computer skills to meet Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software requirements.QualificationsEducation:
            • Nursing schoolExperience:
              • At least 2 years as a nurse working in a healthcare settingRequired license or certifications:
                • Certificate as either a License Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse
                • Current CPR Certification,
                • Narcan Certified , highly desirable
