Job Description:
Seeking Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) for the Greater Los
Angeles (GLA) VA with opportunities at the West Los Angeles VAMC,
Ventura and Santa Maria clinics. The VA is mission-oriented and
provides exceptional care for those who have served in our nation s
military.Duties include screening for mental health concerns such
as PTSD, depression, and substance-use disorders; diagnosing and
managing acute and chronic illnesses; and addressing
gender-specific health needs. PCPs will evaluate and treat
uncomplicated mental health and substance-use disorders, coordinate
specialty care as needed, and provide preventive care, including
cancer screenings, immunizations, and weight management counseling.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team involving nurses,
social workers, integrated mental health providers, and
pharmacists, ensuring holistic care tailored to each Veteran s
needs. The GLA VA Healthcare System is affiliated with the David
Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Opportunities exist for an
academic appointment at UCLA as a clinician-educator to teach
medical students, internal medicine residents and other trainees.
Previous experience in teaching is preferred for clinics that are
part of academic training programs.Successful candidates will
demonstrate superb communication skills, a track record of leading
teams, a strong background in clinical excellence, and commitment
to improving Veteran health and well-being. Previous experience in

training programs. Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 am-4:30pm
12-15 Patients per clinical dayQualifications: --- Must be a U.S.
Citizen--- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or
osteopathic medicine --- Must possess a current, full, and
unrestricted license from any state or US territory. --- Must have
completed residency in an accredited core specialty --- Preferred
minimum of 5 years of practice, but not required. --- Must be Board

$250,000-$270,000 + up to $15,000 annual performance-based award,
