difference:The Psychologist/Program Director position is
responsible for overseeing the operations of the Jail Based
Competency Treatment (JBCT) program and serving as the primary
staff member to assess and evaluate patients for competency
restoration. In addition, the Psychologist/Program Director will
provide supervision to a small staff, act as the primary liaison
between JBCT stakeholders, monitor program outcomes, and ensure
compliance with policies and procedures. This licensed Psychologist
in California will report to the Health Services Administrator
(HSA) or Program Manager (PM) and will be responsible for providing
all competency assessments.Key Responsibilities:Program Director:
Oversee and ensure program compliance with DSH and company
policies. Communicate with JBCT partners and work collaboratively
with Sheriffs Office team. Manage personnel and conduct monthly
audits to ensure program adherence. Lead Treatment Team meetings,
review patient treatment plans and complete initial DSH Screening
Forms. Provide clinical support, attend milieu groups, and document
all findings in inmate's health record.Psychologist: Adhere
strictly to DSH and company P&P Manual for all psychologist
duties and functions. Use approved testing measures for patient
assessment and report findings per court reporting statues. Conduct
cognitive impairment assessments and administer approved tests for
suspected malingering. Participate in weekly Treatment Team
meetings, establish Doctor's Group, and provide clinical support.
Work collaboratively with Sheriffs Office team, document findings
in patient records, and assist with staff
interview/orientation.Qualifications & Requirements:EducationPhD or
PsyD with Licensure as Psychologist in state of
employment.ExperienceOne + years of experience as a licensed
Psychologist in the state of employment.Previous
correctional/detention facility
experienceLicenses/CertificationsLicensure as Psychologist in state
of employmentCurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS
certification through AHAComplianceMust obtain and maintain
security clearance throughout the course of employment.Must pass
background investigation conducted by the Company and/or Facility
as a requisite for initial and or continued employment.May be
required to undergo reasonable suspicion testing for being under
the influence of controlled substances, including prescription,
legal, and illegal substances, including marijuana.Must undergo
security training and orientation on Facility Safety Policies and
Procedures.Must follow county facility policies and procedures.We
