Overnight -Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant- Emergency, AVS

Duties and responsibilities you may own in this role:

• Triage and prioritize incoming patients
• Stabilize patients in critical condition
• Assist with diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and fluids
• Provide wound care and post-surgical support
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities
• Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures
• Communicate with pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitization
• Educate pet owners on aftercare
• Collaborate with the veterinary team
• Stay updated through continuing education
• Offer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners.Compensation range $18.00 - $35.00 hourly plus paid overnight differential.
  The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
  RVT or -Senior Veterinary Assistant hiring bonus up to $5,000 for new full time employees
  Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years -of clinical experience -in the veterinary industry, ER experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)Work Schedule:
    • Full-Time, Overnight Schedule
    • Some Weekend and Holiday Availability Required
