Bring your determination to succeed, and we'll provide you with the opportunity to grow!Duties and responsibilities you may own in this role:Triage and prioritize incoming patientsStabilize patients in critical conditionAssist with diagnostic proceduresAdminister medications and fluidsProvide wound care and post-surgical supportMonitor vital signs and report abnormalitiesAssist during surgeries and emergency proceduresCommunicate with pet ownersMaintain accurate medical recordsEnsure cleanliness and sanitizationEducate pet owners on aftercareCollaborate with the veterinary teamStay updated through continuing educationOffer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners.Compensation range $18.00 - $35.00 hourly plus paid overnight differential.The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.RVT or--Senior Veterinary Assistant hiring bonus up to $5,000 for new full time employeesBasic Required Qualifications:High school diploma2+ years--of clinical experience--in the veterinary industry, ER experience preferredStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsMaintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)Work Schedule:Full-Time, Overnight ScheduleSome Weekend and Holiday Availability Required-- Benefits:--Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurances, flex-spending accounts, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, and 3 weeks accrued paid time off!License application and renewal reimbursement for RVT'sMonthly in-house RACE-approved courses and staff development opportunities for--all employees!Get paid to learn!-- We'll cover eligible expenses for continuing education and coursework!We also pay YOU when you hit major career milestones, earn your RVT or your VTS and get a cash bonus!Join us at Advanced Veterinary Specialists in beautiful Santa Barbara and be part of a life saving team!--Ethos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
