Summary of Job Duties
(Note: This summary will be used for keyword search) Under the direction of the Arts Administrative Support Center Director, is responsible for the full range of administrative management functions including the core departments finances and academic personnel necessary for the support of the teaching and research missions of the Departments of Art, History of Art and Architecture and the Art, Design and Architecture Museum. Responsibilities include financial management, purchasing, academic personnel programs, and assisting the Chairs and Directors with long-term strategic planning. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures as they relate to departmental overall goals and objectives. Assures compliance with all campus, University, State, and Federal regulations as appropriate. Serves on campus committees involving University administration as necessary.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills, strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population. Maintain sound judgment and high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to perform financial and policy analysis. Requires understanding of accounting principles. Requires strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and follow through. Strong communication skills. Proficient with MS Office and database applications. Familiarity with fund accounting, bookkeeping, and spreadsheet systems. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment while under pressure of heavy workload and deadlines. Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations, and use discretion.

Desirable Requirements
* Knowledge of UCSB policies, processes, and procedures governing business and financial practices; experience with UCSB systems, such as the online General Ledger, Data Warehouse, UCPath, KRONOS, Gateway, UCRecruit, AP Folio; supervisory experience, preferred.
