Through access to continuous monitoring and predictive scoring, insurers gain deeper insight into risks in real-time which can significantly enhance many aspects of the insurance life cycle including underwriting, claims, and book assessment.

Carpe Data is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Candidates must be located in Santa Barbara or willing to relocate to Santa Barbara. Employees are currently working from home for the foreseeable future. Our hybrid office schedule is M/F remote and T/W/Th in office once we reopen in 2022.

What you Will Do

Carpe Data is seeking a Project Manager to play an integral role on a team which develops innovative data products that meet market demands and the evolving expectations of our company's customers. This position reports to the Director of Project Management and will work closely with stakeholders across the organization gaining exposure to all the moving parts of a rapidly growing data company. The Project Manager will manage multiple boards and project timelines in order to meet business requirements. Candidates must be located near Santa Barbara, CA.

Responsibilities
Accountable to business sponsor(s) and leadership to drive delivery of quality solutions tied to clearly understood business objectives on-time, with quality, within scope and budget project/program/portfolio
Understand, apply, promote and contribute to Agile delivery methodologies, standards and tools
Collaborate with Product Owners and Director of Engineering to delegate and facilitate long term activities of the agile team
Work directly with the product development team to effectively communicate objectives, project timelines and push for on-time deliverables
Develop and own the project plan
Report to leadership on project progress
Prioritize features and allocates tasks
Track the project performance against the baselines and assures an effective project quality control
Ensure project documentation and real-time updates are in place
Monitor and control the risks in the project and highlights any unresolved issues
Identify and remove any project bottlenecks

Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in a related field
2+ years of project management experience
2+ years of Agile project delivery experience
Demonstrated facilitation skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to move concurrent inflight projects forward
Technical background or experience working with technical roles
Excellent communication skills
Extremely detailed with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
