We are Del Monte Foods - Growers of Good.The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Foodservice - West will lead the development of Del Monte's Foodservice business, driving increased revenue and profitability across the Foodservice and Vending Channels. The position will be primarily focused upon building the foodservice distribution customer base and development of large regional operators that can expand broadline distribution presence. The RSM FS will be responsible for meeting their annual sales quota, building customer relationships, securing new business, and leading the broker teams assigned to their region.Position will work out of a home office in either Southern or Northern CA.Responsibilities:Distributor Leadership:Directly manages the relationship and business of the top 20-25 strategic broadline distributors in the assigned regionSupports the broker in the management of all other active distributors in territoryActively pursues new strategic distributor partnershipsExecutes effective new product presentations to key category decision makers to drive new business developmentDesigns sales programs and new product introductions for distributor reps to develop new business with strategic operator accountsDevelops strategic plans and executes against key distributor events (food shows, sales meetings, etc.) that ensure new business and category developmentExecutes Joint Business Planning sessions quarterly with key distributor leadership, ensuring quarterly and annual priorities and sales goals are achievedOperator Leadership:Actively identifies and pursues top regional chain operators and large non-commercial end-usersUtilizes our "preferred"-- - status on DMFS product categories with national account operators serviced by strategic distributors in the territory, i.e. Aramark, Compass, Foodbuy, to drive product usage and expand distributionPartners with top DSR's within strategic distributors to drive new business and expand product availabilityBroker Leadership:Establishes relationships and meeting/communication process and cadence with broker Market Director in each marketProvides coaching and product training to broker marketsExecutes effective monthly meetings with broker Market Directors utilizing Power BI and G2 reports that highlight distributor results, operator calls, national account operator share gains and other relevant measures and best practicesReporting / Systems Utilization:Utilizes SalesForce tool to create customer call plan, lead follow-up, and track sales activitiesEffective utilization of sales tracking and business planning tools (G2/AFS) to input contracts, trade programs and determine opportunities for improved sales and profit growthOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university preferred10+ years of FS Sales Experience (Broker) & (Direct) managementProficient in Excel, Word, Power PointKey Behaviors:GET OUR HANDS DIRTYDig in and understand the business.Stay focused on priorities and drive for results.Pursue goals with purpose and persevere through challenges.CULTIVATE SOLUTIONSImprove processes, products, and services.Take calculated risks to develop effective solutions.Use data and insights to drive business performance.GROW SUCCESS TOGETHERCreate an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.Collaborate and promote teamwork to achieve individual and shared goals.Hold ourselves and others accountable for commitments.WE OFFERCompetitive salary.Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).Del Monte Foods, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
