Reports to: Chief People Officer
Location: - Remote or Goleta The Role You will lead the Business Partner, Shared Services, and Employee Relations functions for North America, while also acting as the lead PX business partner for the global omnichannel team. You will partner closely with COE leads and regional PX partners to deploy and implement PX programs and people strategies that support the business and talent strategy across client groups and align with Deckers' strategic priorities, culture, and values. Your Impact

  • Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing between PXBPs and across COEs to ensure a clear and common understand business needs across client groups; Inspire, partner, and drive results alongside colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, OD, Learning, Compensation, Benefits, Communications, & DEI
  • Embed and drive diversity, equity, belonging & inclusion practices in all people practices; Continuously identify opportunities for improvement
  • Be a trusted advisor for the Omnichannel team and its leaders; working closely with senior leadership to develop people plans and deliver solutions to help them align strategic business goals with talent strategies
  • Support the alignment of omnichannel talent plans with required omnichannel capabilities for the future to achieve Deckers strategic growth plans; Drive effective change management strategies
  • Lead a shared services team that is accountable for optimizing employee experience and driving business impact at the individual employee level on moderately complex PX policy and procedure interpretation across the employee life cycle
  • Act as the most senior escalation point for complex inquiries and sensitive employee relations concerns and complaints; Ensure close partnership with legal team when needed
  • Act as a player/coach, inspire and motivate the team by creating a culture that values diversity, future-focus, and exceptional execution. Develop a mindset for continuous learning and offer opportunities to grow.
  • Instill and reinforce the highest standards for close collaboration, knowledge sharing, and teamwork within PX and across the Deckers' brand portfolio, with the goals of identifying synergies, fostering idea sharing, and establishing common goals for profitable growth
  • Foster an environment of inclusion and belonging where all employees feel valued, where differences are embraced, and everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work. Champion best practices to improve representation and diversity within PX and at Deckers Who You Are
    • A collaborative, humble, and team-minded HR leader who sees the big picture and can flex easily between leading and working deeply in the details
    • Deep knowledge of US employment laws and good understanding of the most important regional laws; Knows when to work closely with regional experts
    • Impeccable judgement and ability to balance the needs of the business, culture, managers and employees
    • Deep knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion and how to apply principles across the employee lifecycle
    • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills; Good understanding of people analytics and how to leverage insights to inform talent solutions
    • A relationship builder, collaborator, and influencer who can prioritize deliverables while ensuring all clients and partners feel like they are important and heard
    • Proven ability to influence and establish trust and credibility at the executive and employee level
    • Demonstrated success in providing solutions to leadership in a complex and fast-moving environment
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill insights from people analytics and devise action plans against them
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, scaling, and agile environment and drive continuous improvement and change We'd love to hear from people with
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
      • 12+ years HR experience with focus as an HRBP; employee relations and shared services experience preferred
      • 5+ years leading a team of HR professionals at varying levels of experience; Experience successfully coaching, developing, and mentoring a distributed team
      • Experience collaborating closely with COEs and regional leads, and developing solutions in partnership
      • Demonstrated process management and implementation experience including frequent collaboration with other people leaders, finance, HRIS, payroll, IT, DEI, facilities, and legal
      • Demonstrated experience influencing and strategically solving complex problems
      • Experience working within a global omnichannel organization with complex, matrixed relationships
