The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for project quality compliance to Standards and Customer Standards. This role is expected to have commanding knowledge of automotive standards to ensure compliance as well as adherence to internal project and quality standards. Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, serve as the quality authority for new product development activities from inception to serial manufacturing. Responsible for the quality risk management in new product development Collaborates with other engineers, designers, and staff to review the projects design, manufacturing, and test documentation ensures that program or contract quality requirements are met. Identifies customer requirements in contractual documentation and ensures the project fulfills those requirements. Responsible to plan and conduct cross functional project milestone reviews in collaboration with the Project Manager. Support Design Validation Builds ensuring issue identified in early builds are root caused with appropriate countermeasures. Participate in Design Reviews Work with DRE to mitigate risks for manufacturing and assembly ensuring we are adhering to internal standardsindustry standardsbest practices. Participate andor verify off-line reviews according to the use of standards, methods, processes, and tools. Participate in NUDDs analysis and DFEMA creation. Sourcing of new suppliers and audits. Create transparency of the critical path in the overall quality timelines e.g. Engineering, operations, procurement, logistics of new product projects, define measure to hit the project milestones. Skills Required
BA Degree in Eng. Excels in and can demonstrate experience in project management. Effective in written and oral communication effective visualization. Skills Preferred
VDA Standards. ISO 90012015 IATF 16949 Standard. ISO 26262 Functional Safety. ISO 45001 Health Safety. ISO 21434 Cybersecurity. ASPICE Standard. Problem Solving Methods, 8D, Why, DoE, Etc.
