DevOps Release Engineer, Court Management SolutionsThomson Reuters Court Management Solutions is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and goal driven DevOps Release Engineer with demonstrated experience in build, assembly, configuration, and delivery in a distributed environment to join our Release Engineering Team. The candidate should have Linux and Windows background, be knowledgeable about release automation, tool building and the Azure cloud (or similar) infrastructure. The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment, have a "can-do" attitude, and work well in a cross-functional environment with minimal supervision. He/she should be a self-starter, quick learner, and a team player.About the Role This role is a 100% remote position.In this role you will:Conduct software release activitiesEffectively communicate with internal teams and external customersProvide support to Developers, QA, and Operations on internal and external client environmentsDevelop, improve, enforce, and document release automation processCreate and maintain internal and external (client) environment policies, diagrams, documentation, best practices, and specificationsAbout YouYou're a fit for the role of DevOps Release Engineer if you have: Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Azure (or equivalent) infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, network security groups, application gateways, virtual machines, databases, storage, and backupsExperience building, deploying, and managing containerized infrastructure via KubernetesKnowledge of automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible is preferableWindows and Linux administration experience is preferableApache Tomcat experience is preferableDatabase admin experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle is preferableExperience with build/releasing software in a J2EE environmentWorking knowledge of SCM (software configuration management) best practices and applicationsExperience using scripting and markup languages (e.g. YAML, Perl, Groovy, etc.)Experience with automated builds (e.g. Jenkins), deployments to multiple environments as well as set up monitors to ensure availability of systemsExperience with implementing Azure DevOps pipelinesExperience with Git source control, and code review workflowsApplication troubleshooting, ability to determine root causes based on log outputExcellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailExperience providing Production-level supportStrong written and verbal communication skills and experienced with working effectively in cross-functional teamsWhat's in it For YouAt Thomson Reuters, our people are our greatest assets.
