Description: SUMMARY:The Quality Engineer will ensure confidence in the quality of Seek products, services, and its QualityManagement System. Works closely with the Director of Quality to support a quality culture able toachieve Zero Defects and On Time Delivery to customers. This is a Salaried Exempt position, withconsiderable independent judgement and decision making.RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitoring & Measuring of Product? Ensure products adhere to all defined requirements and specifications:? Develop and/or define appropriate inspection methodologies and tools.? Develop Inspection Plans for raw materials, components, and the manufacture/assembly of product.? Develop/improve, implement, and train Inspection Processes and Work Instructions? Establish statistical confidence by determining Sampling Plans.? Provide leadership and guidance to all personnel performing inspection, test and/or calibration processes.? Maintenance of Quality KPI'sMonitoring & Measuring of Process? Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop, roll out and maintain Measurement Systems Analysisand SPC Programs to reduce variability and achieve goals of Zero Defects Program.Nonconformance Management? Develop, implement, and manage effective nonconformance management processes and controlsappropriate for ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 certified system requirements.? Ensure:o Effective control of all nonconforming materials awaiting review, disposition determination andfinal disposition.o Scrapped materials are permanently marked and destroyed.o On-time processing of nonconformanceso Adequate containment, Quality Alerts and other immediate activities are completed anddocumented.o Failure analysis where needed and suggest corrective actions on recurring or systemicnonconformances.Customer Support? Support Customers (Internal/External) with questions, concerns or needed knowledge regarding part orservice quality or the QMS.? Coordinate with customers relating to quality trends, performance, and corrective action.? Analyze issues reported via customer feedback, customer complaints (including RMA) and determineneed for/actions to correct or improve.Page 2 of 3Supplier Control? Work with Purchasing and Materials to:? Ensure the review, approval, and monitoring of suppliers, including supplier audits.? Ensure raw materials and component parts meet quality standards.? Initiate programs to enhance supplier performance.? Coordinate with suppliers regarding performance and any needed improvements or correctiveactions.Improvement? Perform Internal Audits as assigned? Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement 8D Corrective Actions as required? Work cross functionally to support other functions to effectively complete and implement 8D correctiveactions.? Work with Manufacturing Engineering to continually develop and improve lean enterprise techniques anddrive continuous improvement efforts in the factory to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and overallperformance.? Revise and/or create needed documentation for the effective management of the QMS.Product Realization Support? Work with Design Teams to identify and implement adequate Quality Planning.? Work with Engineering to support PFMEA and Control Plans? Work with Engineering to support APQP/PPAP.? Interact with product development committees to inspect and review engineering releases.? Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements...? Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality andinspection checks.General? Provide Training on quality related processes and documents as required.? Participate in Management ReviewSKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:? Interpret complex mechanical drawings (blueprints), Parts Lists, BOMs, Data Lists, mechanical testreports, chemical analysis reports, thermal and environmental conditioning reports.? Strong knowledge of Inspection methodologies, techniques, and processes, including the use of SamplingPlans.? Application of Quality Control practices and principles ((sampling, inspection plans, GD&T.)? Application of Quality Assurance Processes (FAI, MSA, APQP, etc.).? Application of nonconforming output processes (MRB).? Work to IATF 16949:2016 or other quality management systems experience (e.g., ISO9001, ISO13485,AS9100)? Strong understanding of root cause analysis & problem-solving tools & methodologies.? Strong writing skills to craft documented information for the use of multiple skill and experience levels.? Strong Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.? Experience with Agile PLM and NetSuite platforms desired.? Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident status.. Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.? 5+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer in an ISO, AS or IATF Quality System?
