Job Description:
The Sociology Department at the University of California - Santa
Barbara seeks to hire a scholar at the pre-tenured rank for an
Assistant Teaching Professor position with potential for security
of employment with an effective date of July 1, 2023.
This position will support the professional and programmatic
activities of the Sociology Department, including a teaching
workload of 7 courses or equivalent to 7 courses, in sociological
theory and research methods in addition to other areas.
The University is especially interested in candidates who can
contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic
community through teaching, research, and service as appropriate to
the position.
