  GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
  The Marketing Assistant supports ongoing and special projects to support the Marketing Department, with special emphasis on online reputation, website management, SEO optimization, ILS optimization, and reporting. The position relies on Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Analytics, Yardi RentCafe, Yardi Voyager and various Social Media channels to successfully complete, update, and manage those projects. The Marketing Assistant contributes to weekly Operations meetings with Management and monthly Manger calls.
  
  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  The Marketing Assistant is responsible for the following:

  • Support website performance through best practices in SEO, including page tags and metadata, and maintaining the accuracy of local listings and links to all property websites.
    
  • Routinely audit online presence, including websites and ILS's, for accurate lead delivery tracking, property application information, pet policies, and tour hours.
    
  • Monitor incoming reviews on various platforms escalating reviews to the Property Staff, Marketing Leader, and Resident Relations as needed.
    
  • Assist properties with online review responses.
    
  • Track both company and competitor online reputation scores for comparison.
    
  • Proactively seek out and support our new digital marketing strategies, aimed at increasing the quality and value of our online and offline interactions with prospects.
    
  • Support all marketing performance reporting in Google Analytics, Data Studio, Sheets, Tag Manager, Microsoft Excel.
    
  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee and resident-focused engagement campaigns, including the NALS Photo Contest, Volunteer Week, Maintenance Appreciation Week etc.
    
  • Support other departments (e.g. Investor Relations, Maintenance, HR) with additional campaigns.
    
  • Assist the Marketing Leader with additional special projects as needed.

    • 
      
    • 1+ years' experience in a marketing environment, bonus if you've obtained a Google Analytics certification.
      
    • Bachelor's degree preferably with emphasis in Marketing or Advertising.
      
    • SEO strategy experience preferred.
      
    • Ability to collect and analyze data sources and interpret possible trends.
      
    • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
      
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
      
    • Exceptional organizational skill and extreme attention to detail.
      
    • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
      
      PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
      Lifting up to 20 pounds. If more than 20 pounds are to be lifted, employee shall seek assistance from another employee
      
      SKILLS:
      Understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, social media platforms, Yardi Voyager, and Yardi RentCafe is preferred.
