Responsibilities Monitor and analyze the market for medical silicone components and devices;
Identify technical and commercial trends in the medical silicone market and assess the relevance for the business unit;
Monitor existing and potential competitors and analyze their competitive strategy and behavior;
Develop and support the execution of entry strategies for new product and regional markets;
Identify business potential at new and existing customers and support the Specialty Components Sales team to access this potential;
Coordinate and oversee the quoting process for new projects;
Develop a pricing strategy for the business unit and initiate and drive pricing initiatives;
Monitor the sales development and the profitability by product and customer and propose targeted improvement measures;
Assume responsibility as the business unit's key user for the Salesforce.com CRM software;
Define and execute the marketing communication strategy for the business unit in cooperation with the Freudenberg Medical Group Marketing function;
Develop marketing materials (e.g. brochures, white papers), website and social media content for silicone components and devices;
Support the presentation of the business unit at trade shows and medical conferences;
Manage strategic projects in close cooperation and under the guidance of the Vice President and General Manager Silicone Carpinteria
Tradeshow attendance
Travel required: 20%
Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization - in a technical field highly desired; medical device experience preferred;
3+ years of marketing experience
Must have experience in effectively addressing customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
Experience in giving presentations to executives, customers, etc.
Experience in supporting a broad range of products/capabilities through multiple sales channels.
Direct experience in delivering strategic marketing plans preferred
Experience in product marketing in a medical or healthcare related business and related product lines
Proficient in Microsoft office suite; advanced experience with PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of SalesForce.com required
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers
Strong analytical and organizational skills and bias for action and execution.
General professional, business aptitude.
Effective leadership and team management skills.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, track progress of projects and stay on schedule.
Certification in Lean Systems and/or Six Sigma is preferred.

The position is responsible for the analysis of the market for medical silicone components and supports the formulation of a product marketing strategy. Coordinates the quoting process and manages the communication marketing effort for the business unit.
