Job Summary

Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Receptionist to join its growing team in Carpinteria, California!

  • Ensure that all customers, guests and employees are greeted with efficiency, professionalism and warmth
  • Answer main telephone line directing calls by name or determining correct department by need or request
  • Process all incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Enter all received checks into Excel secured check log for tracking
  • Oversee maintenance of all printers and copiers, i.e. supplies and problems
  • Order office and break room supplies as needed
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the office
  • Assist departments with special projects
  • Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown
  • Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
  • Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
  • Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
  • Other duties as needed

    Required Skills

    • High School diploma, or equivalent
    • 1-3 years prior experience in a similar position preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
    • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
