Reputable company in Santa Barbara is looking for an experienced
buyer to join their team. The buyer/planner is primarily
responsible for supporting procurement of assigned commodities to
meet companies requirements for best value, on time delivery and
?Coordinate and ensure timely procurement of materials
?Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions as needed.
?Negotiate and finalize pricing for commodities.
?Update Material Master, reorder points
?Establish Long Term Agreements (LTA) or pricing agreements with
regard to cost control and guaranteed supply.
?Actively participate in cross-functional teams to find new sources
to optimize supply chain, supplier selections and negotiations.
?Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of procurement,
preferably in purchasing of mechanical, electronic components and
?SAP experience is required
?Bachelors degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business,
or Engineering is strongly desired.
***This is a 3-6 month contract opportunity***
