Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are looking for a meticulous
and adaptable Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis
in Pasadena, California. This position will provide essential
support for daily accounting operations, including general ledger
maintenance, reconciliations, and inventory accounting. The ideal
candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles,
proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work independently in a
dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Record and manage journal
entries in the general ledger to ensure accurate financial
reporting. • Perform thorough bank and credit card reconciliations
to maintain up-to-date account balances. • Assist with month-end
accounting tasks to support timely financial close processes. •
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, formatting, and basic
analysis to support accounting functions. • Handle inventory
accounting tasks using specialized inventory management software. •
Process accounting transactions and generate reports within Sage
100. • Provide administrative assistance to the accounting team,
including document organization and record maintenance. • Verify
the accuracy and completeness of financial records to ensure
compliance with standards. • Adapt quickly to company-specific
systems and processes to maintain operational efficiency.• Two to
five years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. •
Solid understanding of general ledger accounting principles and
practices. • Demonstrated experience in performing bank and credit
card reconciliations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including
formatting, formulas, and basic functions. • Familiarity with Sage
100 software is strongly preferred. • Knowledge of inventory
management software is an advantage. • Strong attention to detail
and excellent organizational skills. • Availability to begin work
promptly and commit to a three-week contract assignment.
