Job Description:
Conduct financial analysis to assess credit worthiness while
following established bank underwriting policies and procedures for
syndicated leveraged loan credit requests as well as other credit
opportunities, assist in the maintenance and monitoring of existing
credits in the portfolio, responsible for certain administrative
duties including reporting, trade closings, administering funding
requests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Identify and fully underwrite and
prepare a loan application which for approval that provides
recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk and
present findings to managers and other team members. • Establish
and maintain relationships with various sell-side and buy-side
participants in the leverage loan market. • Provide analysis and
support for the Bank’s syndication efforts including communication
with participants. • Ability to think independently and critically
with regards to both opportunities and risks as it pertains to the
leverage loan portfolio. • Prepare internal credit review memos on
existing portfolio accounts and assist with new underwriting credit
requests. • Prepare customized department and project management
reports, including quarterly Board reporting and general market
industry trends. • Monitor and coordinate loan fundings and
distribute funding memos. • Keep up to date on bank wide credit
policies and lending protocols. • Review Credit Agreements for
covenant and tickler items and coordinate completion of tickler
items in the On-Track system. • Complete quarterly and annual
compliance check reports. • Coordinate with loan servicing for loan
fundings and required documents. • Other projects and support as
requested by the supervisor/department manager QUALIFICATIONS •
Education: College degree with major in accounting, finance,
economics, or business preferred. • Experience: 3-4 years corporate
commercial lending and/or banking experience. A good knowledge of
accounting, lending regulations and credit practices, are a plus
but not required. • Skills/Ability: PC proficient with strong Excel
skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Organized and
detail oriented. Knowledgeable in Bank credit underwriting policies
and approval process for assigned loans. Good teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high production
environment. Ability to think both intuitively and
independently.
